the many National Parks including Zion, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, and
more. Utah offers some of the most spectacular beauty in the nation.
One of the most tastefully done WEB sites on the Internet is the Utah

Hoover
Dam is a testimony to a country's ability to construct monolithic
projects in the midst of adverse conditions. Built during the
Depression; thousands of men and their families came to Black Canyon
to tame the Colorado River. It took less then 5 years, in a harsh and
barren land, to build the largest dam of its time. Now, more then 60
years later, Hoover Dam still stands as a world-renowned structure.
The dam is a National Historic Landmark and has been rated by the
American Society of Civil Engineers as one of America's Seven Modern
Civil Engineering Wonders. Hoover Dam is located just past Henderson
Nevada and is a short drive from Las Vegas.

The Old Las Vegas Mormon
Fort State Historic Park
Constructed by Mormon missionaries in 1855, this is
the oldest building in Las Vegas. The Old Fort has served as many
things, including a store, barracks, and a concrete-testing laboratory
for Hoover Dam. A tour guide presents the history orally, while display
boards present it visually. In 1995, a project was begun to re-create
the original fort, complete with spring and creek, and the subsequent
ranch houses.
